Dr. Jim Boley

A Texas native, Dr. Jim Boley was born and raised in Jacksboro and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and chemistry from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Upon completing dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, he continued his studies at the University of Missouri at Kansas City where he received his specialists Certificate of Orthodontics and a Masters of Science degree. A board certified orthodontist since 1971, Dr. Boley maintains an private practice in North Dallas/Richardson, Texas.

Dr. Boley has been an active leader in many local and national organizations that are dedicated to teaching and maintaining excellence within the orthodontic community. He is a member of the Dallas County Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, and has served as president of the Texas Association of Orthodontists, the Charles H. Tweed Orthodontic Group of Texas, and the Edward H. Angle Society. Dr. Boley has been invited to speak at national meetings of the American Association of Orthodontists, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontics, the Tweed Foundation, as well as numerous orthodontic departments, and local and state society meetings. He has also had the privilege of lecturing in twelve foreign countries. As an Associate Professor since 1998 in the orthodontic department at Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Boley shares his expertise with orthodontic residents one half-day per week. His efforts in teaching have earned him the Robert E. Gaylord Award of Excellence in Orthodontic Education, presented by the residents in 2000 and 2001. The Alumni Association also recognized Dr. Boley by awarding him with the Thomas Matthews Award for his outstanding contribution to the Baylor Orthodontic Department in 2002.

Dr. Boley is best known nationally and internationally for his study of long-term orthodontic results in order to develop procedures that would reduce the amount of orthodontic relapse. In 1984 he began recalling his patients who had not worn retainers for an average of over ten years after completing orthodontic treatment. He has collected records on over 250 of these patients, one of the largest databases of its kind. Using their results, he has co-authored numerous articles in the refereed orthodontic literature. Dr. Boley's records have been studied by over fifteen graduate students from various orthodontic residency programs in the United States and abroad.
Dr. Boleys has received numerous awards for excellence in orthodontic treatment and research during his career (CV below) and has been voted as one of the best by his peers in D Magazine and Texas Monthly. In his spare time, Dr. Boley enjoys exercising, golfing, and playing with his five dogs. He is married and has two daughters and four grandchildren.

Rachel H. Thieberg, DDS, MS

A native of Ames, Iowa, Dr. Thieberg graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA in 1992 and was awarded membership into Phi Beta Kappa. She completed a four-year Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. During that time, she was granted membership into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, and was valedictorian of her graduating class. Continuing two years of post-doctoral education at Baylor, Dr. Thieberg earned a specialists Certificate of Orthodontics in 2001. In addition, she received her Masters of Science degree, studying the effects of estrogen on bone growth. Dr. Thieberg has practiced orthodontics in Dallas since 2001 and Wylie since 2007.

Penny

Registered Dental Assistant
Penny joined us in September, 1998 after moving to Texas from San Diego. Working in the dental field for 24 years, she is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone and serves as our financial coordinator.
Penny's son is starting High School this year and keeps her on her toes!

Monica

Monica Joubert has been working in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics since 1985 and began working with Dr. Thieberg in 2001. She really loves interaction with people and making orthodontics a fun experience for her patients. Originally from Illinois, she has lived in the Dallas area since 1982. She has been married to Ron since 1986. Monica's interests include music, photography, and studying languages and cultures. Monica and her husband Ron enjoy traveling and dedicate time together volunteering in their ministry.

Lisa

Registered Dental Assistant
Lisa joined Dr Thieberg's office in September 2010, and has been doing orthodontics for over ten years. Before starting a career in orthodontics, Lisa was a nanny for many years.
Lisa enjoys competing in the sport of Dog Agility. She has competed for over ten years. She joined Team USA to compete in the Netherlands in 2009 and Czech Republic in 2010, and is currently tying out for 2012 to be held in the US.
She also instructs at her local agility club and travels around the country as a judge for the sport.

Kinley

Registered Dental Assistant
Kinley Joined our team in April 2010. She is a Texas native who spent most of her life here, with the exception of a few years in Colorado.
When Kinley moved back to Texas after High School graduation, she followed her Mom's footsteps and began a career in the Ortho field.
In her spare time, Kinley enjoys visiting her friends and family in Colorado, shopping, and taking road trips!
She also adores her toy poodle, "Tinkerbell" and is a part-time nanny for Dr. Thieberg's two daughters.
